Poziv na predavanje profesora Larsa Aspluda

U sklopu kolegija Programsko inženjerstvo, u četvrtak 12.6.2014. od 16:15-18:00 sati u dvorani 1, profesor Lars Asplud iz Sveučilišta Mälardalen će održati predavanje na temu „Robotics in general and vision system in particular at Mälardalen University”. Na predavanje su pozvani svi zainteresirani.

U sklopu kolegija Programsko inženjerstvo, prof. Lars Asplud će održati predavanje iz sažetka. Pozivaju se svi nastavnici i studenti koji gaje interes prema ovom području da prisustvuju predavanju. Na predavanju će biti prisutni i ostali gosti koji sudjeluju na RoboWeek, pa će biti dostupni za vaša pitanja.

Lars Asplund is Professor in Computer Science at Mälardalen University since 2001. He received his PhD in Physics in 1977 from Uppsala University. After five years at the Swedish National Institue for Building Research Lars returned to Uppsala University 1982. First at the Department of Physics, where docent competence was received. Later moved to Department of Computer Systems (DoCS). At DoCS both as researcher and head of department.

From 2001 Lars has been working as professor and was one of the driving forces behind Robotdalen, and created 2003 the first Civilingenjörsprogram in Robotics in Sweden, and Lars has been the leader of that program. Among projects that have been well know the following can be mentioned: Dasher – a running robot; Roony, a Lunar Rover; Ralf II, an underwater robot; Robocygne, a dancing swan robot.

Lars has written ten text books, and the latest will appear fall 2011, in robotics. Industrial experiences are Navatron, which was sold to Silva, Asplund Data AB and the creation of Robyn Robotics. Asplund holds four patents. Lars Asplunds current research include vision sensors for robots - underwater, running or soccer playing...

Privately Lars Asplund as a great interest in Citroën-cars and is currently the chairman for Svenska B11-klubben (club of oldtimer car lovers).
