Objavljeno: 25.02.2026

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics has successfully completed another cycle of training sessions and workshops for its staff, held during February 2026. The program covered a wide range of topics – from security policy and project management to the application of artificial intelligence, pedagogical approaches and mental health, as well as ethics in science and entrepreneurship-related themes.

The aim of this program was to empower both teaching and non-teaching staff at FOI, provide practical knowledge, and enhance professional skills that can be applied in everyday work, teaching, and research. Through interactive workshops and lectures, participants gained insight into the latest academic and professional practices, learned how to effectively use AI tools, conduct high-quality online assessments, develop innovative projects, and apply pedagogical and psychological approaches in working with students. Special attention was also given to ethical and responsible conduct in academic, research, and entrepreneurial contexts.

The workshops covered topics such as:

  • security policy and data protection,

  • project planning and implementation from idea to realization,

  • online assessments and advanced use of the Moodle system,

  • practical application of AI tools in education and prototyping,

  • international mobility and the Erasmus BIP program,

  • collaborative software development on the OpenCode.HR platform,

  • mental health and student support,

  • implementation of the AI virtual advisor (AIVA) in Moodle courses,

  • design and implementation of qualitative research,

  • pedagogical approaches to addressing didactic challenges,

  • guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in teaching,

  • transforming scientific and innovative ideas into entrepreneurial projects, and

  • ethical issues in science and research.

This education cycle once again demonstrated how crucial continuous professional development is for the quality of teaching, research, and innovation at FOI. In addition to acquiring new knowledge, participants gained inspiration to apply innovative methods in teaching and student engagement, and FOI once again affirmed its role as a place of continuous learning, development, and support for its employees.
