The QUOKA project, with a total value of €1,020,712.23, officially kicked off with a meeting held on April 15, 2026, at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The project is jointly implemented by Triple-Innovations Ltd. and FOI, with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021–2027. It is an ambitious research and development initiative aimed at creating Quoka CPQ – an advanced next-generation AI platform that transforms how companies manage complex B2B sales processes.

EABID – the European Association of Business Innovation Districts – has been officially established in Brussels as a new European initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration, connectivity, and the development of a network of business innovation districts. Representatives from 14 European countries participated in its founding, and the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), a constituent of the University of Zagreb, is one of the co-founders and the first member from Croatia.

At this year’s 45th International conference on the development of organizational sciences in Portorož, Slovenia, titled “Organization and the Longevity Society,” universities from the region strengthened their academic cooperation by signing a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). As part of the Erasmus mobility programme, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) hosted Full Prof. Hanlie Smuts, PhD, from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in March 2026. Prof. Smuts is a distinguished scholar in the fields of knowledge management, digital innovation, and sustainable digital transformation. Her visit to FOI was the result of previous collaboration with Full Prof. Blaženka Divjak, PhD, and Full Prof. Violeta Vidaček-Hainš, PhD, as well as joint activities aimed at strengthening international cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
