University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, together with the Association of Graduates, Staff, and Friends of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics – AMAC-FOI, invites you to the alumni event FOI Alumni Casual Friday, which will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM. This gathering is intended for all members of the FOI community – all our IT professionals, economists, and experts who began or completed their educational journey at FOI, regardless of generation or level of study. We invite all alumni of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate studies to join us for socializing, exchanging experiences, and building new connections.
At the beginning of June, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics successfully hosted its Graduate Studies Day, an event designed for prospective students considering enrollment in graduate programs but still unsure about which specialization to choose. The event brought together students, faculty members, FOI staff, alumni, and industry representatives, with the goal of providing a comprehensive and transparent overview of study programs, student experiences, and career opportunities after graduation.
The fifth session of the Economic Council, an advisory body that brings together representatives of leading companies and institutions with the aim of strengthening cooperation between academia and the business sector, was held on 24 April 2026 at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin.
On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, the electoral assembly of the Association of Graduates, Associates and Friends of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics AMAC-FOI was held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. Members of the Association with voting rights attended the assembly and elected the new leadership for the upcoming term of office.
On Wednesday, 28 January 2026, a thematic session titled “Artificial Intelligence and India: Opportunities for Students, Research and Cooperation” was held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin. The event was jointly organised by the Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The session brought together representatives of the academic community, IT industry, public sector, and diplomacy with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Croatia, the European Union, and India in the fields of artificial intelligence, education, and research.
From October 20 to 24, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics once again becomes the hub of career opportunities as the 14th Career Week takes place, organized by CPSRK FOI. Students can look forward to inspiring workshops, talks with potential employers, panels on attractive topics such as artificial intelligence and the mental health of Generation Z, as well as a new program feature – Career Blitz, which will give them the chance to test out a real job interview.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin hosted the Alumni FOI Brunch, an informal gathering of former students, professors, and friends of FOI, once again demonstrating the strong unity of the FOI community! The event was organized by the AMAC FOI Alumni Association.
This semester, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is introducing two specialized academies in partnership with leading companies: the Solvership Academy and Fina Academy. These programs provide students with hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills in data governance and software testing.
From January 15th to 16th, 2025, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics is hosting 15 students and 5 professors from the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa. This two-day visit is designed to enhance collaboration and facilitate the exchange of ideas between the two institutions. Initiated by the University of Pannonia, the visit builds on the successful collaboration established through the cross-border IC4HEDS project. At FOI, the project has been coordinated by Full Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, Ph.D., who, in collaboration with the FOI International Office, has created the program for the visit.
On Friday, December 13, the third session of the Economic Council of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics was held.
