On Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23, 2026, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) hosted a seminar and a workshop dedicated to the application of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs) in scientific research. The activities were organized as part of the research visit of Prof. Luis de Marcos Ortega from the University of Alcalá (Spain), carried out within the activities of FOI’s Laboratory for Applied Software Engineering.

A delegation from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), one of the partner universities in the Erasmus+ DIGITAsia project coordinated by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, visited FOI for a two-day study visit. At the beginning of June, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics successfully hosted its Graduate Studies Day, an event designed for prospective students considering enrollment in graduate programs but still unsure about which specialization to choose. The event brought together students, faculty members, FOI staff, alumni, and industry representatives, with the goal of providing a comprehensive and transparent overview of study programs, student experiences, and career opportunities after graduation.
