At the beginning of July 2026, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics signed a Grant Agreement for the implementation of the project Career Compass: Enhancing the Employability of Faculty of Organization and Informatics Students Through Professional Practice (SF.2.4.06.08.0053), financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) within the 2021–2027 financial framework.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), successfully hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Reshape to Sustain: Sustainable Future Enabled by Next-Level Digital Transformation" from 28 June to 4 July 2026, bringing together 28 students and 13 academic staff members from seven European universities.
During this academic year, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) successfully implemented the service-learning model for the first time as part of the elective course Social Innovations. This modern educational approach enables students to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies to real-world social challenges while creating tangible benefits for the community.
At the beginning of June, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics successfully hosted its Graduate Studies Day, an event designed for prospective students considering enrollment in graduate programs but still unsure about which specialization to choose. The event brought together students, faculty members, FOI staff, alumni, and industry representatives, with the goal of providing a comprehensive and transparent overview of study programs, student experiences, and career opportunities after graduation.
In the past two weeks, students of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) have achieved a series of remarkable results in national and international competitions in the fields of investments, sustainability, project management, innovation, and cybersecurity, once again confirming the quality of their knowledge, creativity, and excellence.
In Varaždin on Monday, 2 June 2026, a public presentation was held of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the project of construction and equipping of the new research infrastructure of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb – FOI 2.
On Thursday, 28 May 2026, first-year students of the Graduate Study in Economics of Entrepreneurship visited the City of Varaždin as a local self-government unit within the course Public Management.
As part of the internal project Time 4 Science, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a lecture on May 29, 2026, titled “Limits, Tensions, and Risks of Human–AI Assemblages in Organizations: The Case of Human Digital Twins in B2B Sales Contexts”.
Students presented the results of the COIL - Collaborative Online International Learning project (28th May 2026). The innovative COIL learning method was implemented 2018 at FOI and is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš. During the past winter semester 2025/26, COIL was implemented in the Human Resources and Career Development course, 3rd year of the undergraduate study program Information Technologies and Business Digitalization, co-leded by Prof. Dr. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, and associates assistants Dr. Karolina Kokot and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katarina Pažur Aničić. The head of COIL at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) is professor Andreia Carita, and at the University of Pretoria, Republic of South Africa, Prof. Dr. Machdel Mathee.
