ISME represents an integrated model that encompasses all institutional aspects related to international student mobility – from management processes and digital tools to student support and internal mobility policies. The model aims to establish an efficient, transparent, and student-centred system to improve the quality and implementation of mobility in higher education.
During the focus group, partners from five countries analysed existing approaches and jointly developed recommendations for further enhancement of the ISME model. The activities focused on defining the key elements of the system, visualising its structure, and identifying barriers and solutions to facilitate the model’s implementation across different institutional contexts.
The final version of the ISME model and related recommendations are in the final stages of development, with the official results expected to be published in September 2025.
To recap, the Erasmus+ SuMoS project, led by the University of Zagreb – Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), brings together five European institutions with the aim of enhancing student mobility through the development of the ISME model, promotion of sustainable practices, simplified course recognition, and the application of digital and AI tools.
In addition to the French higher education institution ESIEA, project partners include:
University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences (Slovenia);
University of Žilina, Faculty of Management and Informatics (Slovakia);
University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences (Serbia).
A total of 13 representatives from all partner institutions took part in the project meeting in Paris.
