The Student Council of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics organized the event Green Step Forward: Days of Sustainable Development, which was held on May 13 and 14, 2024 at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics. These days were dedicated to broadening horizons about the importance of contributing to sustainability and caring for the environment in which we live. The days of sustainable development were organized with the aim of teaching, encouraging reflection and informing students about the importance of caring for sustainability in various spheres of activity and the environment in which we live.
We are extremely honored to have a invited lecture held by Chris MeGrew, Ph.D., director of the Center for Global Engagement at Indiana State University, IN, USA. The lecture was held on Wednesday, May 15 at FOI 1. The topic is Diversity and power relations in a state university.
Univeristy of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics recognizes the significant role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in shaping and improving learning, teaching, and scientific research activities. Therefore, FOI promotes the use of AI tools as a means of stimulating innovation and creativity within the academic community, while simultaneously ensuring that the use of these tools is carried out in a responsible, ethically acceptable, and legally regulated manner.
As part of this year's FOI International Cooperation Days 2024 organized by the Entrepreneurship Lab, Professor Jeanette Miller, Ph.D. from the Smeal College of Business, Penn State University, will hold a workshop for FOI and other interested Ph.D. students on writing business problem cases for use in class. The workshop is especially suitable for teachers of economic and organizational subjects, but all interested parties are invited.

Student non-profit association Business Club FOI from Varaždin, implements a project called "Financial Literacy Days" with the aim of expanding student's knowledge of financial literacy. The project will be implemented in the period from May 7 to 8, 2024.
As part of this year's national manifestation Festival of Science, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin (Pavlinska 2), part of the University of Zagreb, an Open Day for high school graduates will be held and the wider interested public. The goal of the Open Day is to introduce students to the final grades of high schools and potentially our future students, with FOI's study programs, which graduates can enroll in after passing the state matriculation exams. On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM, during the lecture on Entrepreneurial Venture as part of the Entrepreneurship Economics course, guest lecturer Tomo Hunjak, ESG Manager of the Vindija Group, will deliver a lecture. Vindija has been conducting its business operations for years under the sustainability philosophy often referred to as the common denominator of the ESG framework (Environmental, Social, and Governance framework). The topic of the lecture is 'Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting'.

The regional tree planting action called "Zelena ReGeneracija" was held for the second year in a row from March 18 to 22 and brings together young people, colleges and companies from the entire region, with the aim of working together to preserve our planet Earth and create a cleaner future. By planting a tree in the yard in front of the FOI 2 building in Varaždin, FOI students from the Student Union joined in the action again this year, showing care for the environment and awareness of the importance of promoting it.
