The program will take place in the period from March 19 to 21, 2024, and includes a number of different activities on current topics in the field of economics and finance. It is intended for FOI students of all study programs and years of study. Lecture topics cover a wide range of financial aspects, ranging from cryptocurrencies, fintech to modern money management strategies, providing participants with a comprehensive insight into the dynamic world of finance and the financial market. Lectures at FOI will be held by a number of prominent FOI alumni students, as well as other successful individuals and prominent professionals engaged in a range of entrepreneurial activities in the financial sector.

The study visit with Penn State University is based on virtual collaboration within the Entrepreneurial Venture course. Assoc. Prof. Kristina Detelj, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Irena Konecki, Ph.D. along with students from the Economics of Entrepreneurship program, collaborate with professors Anne Hoag and Jeanette Miller and their students from Penn State.
The Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems (CECIIS) has been a cornerstone in fostering researchers engaged in developing and applying methods and techniques in the realm of information and intelligent systems for almost 35 years now at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. Established in 1989, CECIIS, hosted annually in Varaždin, Croatia, has earned commendable credibility in the international scientific community over the past three and half decades. Its enduring tradition is reflected in the increasing participation and a surge in associated scientific and professional activities.

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. in Hall 2 (FOI 2), an invited lecture by Ivana Marinković, EFMD Global Network, Director for Central and Eastern Europe, will be held. The aim of the lecture is to familiarize the participants with the importance and advantages of the EFMD Global network and EFMD accreditations. The lecture will be held in English.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, marked the Faculty Day on Friday, December 15, 2023, at a ceremony held at the Varaždin National Theatre. The event, attended by a large number of students, faculty, staff, business representatives, and partner institutions, as well as distinguished guests, commemorated the rich history of the Faculty. With one of the longest-standing traditions in educating IT professionals in Croatia, the Faculty was founded 61 years ago as the Higher School of Economics and established as a faculty 49 years ago. The grand ceremony included the presentation of awards, recognitions, and expressions of gratitude to students, faculty, and staff who have enriched FOI and the broader academic community through their excellence and contributions.
