As part of the Analysis and Program Development (AiR) course, students once again had the opportunity to work on real-world software development projects in close collaboration with industry partners, bridging academic knowledge with professional practice through project-based and team-oriented learning.
Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) offered students a fresh, more practical learning experience as part of its physical education course, the on Friday, January 30, 2026. The invited lecture, titled “Consequences of a sedentary lifestyle and work, prevention and risk management with practical examples”, was delivered by renowned kinesiology expert Mario Starek.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is once again organizing a series of trainings and workshops for its staff, scheduled throughout February 2026. The program covers topics ranging from security policies, project management, and the application of artificial intelligence, to pedagogical approaches, mental health, and ethics in science and entrepreneurship. The trainings are designed to provide staff with practical knowledge, enhance professional skills, and enable the application of new technologies and methods in daily work.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) welcomed students to the 10th Erasmus+ Info Day, organized by the International Cooperation Center. The event aimed to present students with a wide range of mobility and international opportunities available through the Erasmus+ program.
On Wednesday, 28 January 2026, a thematic session titled “Artificial Intelligence and India: Opportunities for Students, Research and Cooperation” was held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin. The event was jointly organised by the Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The session brought together representatives of the academic community, IT industry, public sector, and diplomacy with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Croatia, the European Union, and India in the fields of artificial intelligence, education, and research.
The Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI) are organizing a thematic session and panel discussions entitled “Artificial Intelligence and India: Opportunities for Students, Research and Cooperation”, to be held on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin.
We invite students of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics to participate in the FOI survey, which assesses the quality of teaching and the work of teachers, and which will be conducted during the 13th week of classes, from Monday, January 12, 2026 to Friday, January 16, 2026.
On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a lecture entitled “Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence”, held as part of the Faculty’s internal project Time 4 Science. The lecture at FOI was delivered by Dr. Keith Quille and Dr. Rajesh Jaiswal from Technological University Dublin, School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation (ECDT).

From November 28 to December 10, 2025, the project 3rd International Student Business Meetup was organized and held at two universities in the USA. Seven University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics students (Petra Prister, Sofija Posuda, Dora Kulaš, Nina Mirčić, Luka Arbutina, Ivan Lalić and Alen Adrović) and teachers Assoc. Prof. Mario Konecki, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Igor Pihir, Ph.D. and project expert Jerry John Antolos visited the USA to participate in the project activities.
