FOI and Penn State University: strengthening collaboration through mobility, innovation, and entrepreneurship

From March 23 to 27, 2026, the Vice Dean for Teaching and Students, Associate Professor Zlatko Stapić, PhD, Associate Professor Kristina Detelj, PhD, Head of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory, and Izabela Oletić Tušek, Head of the International Relations Centre, visited Penn State University in the United States as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. During their visit, numerous contacts were established, and concrete activities were agreed upon, focusing on future joint programs, student and staff exchanges, and strengthening institutional cooperation.

FOI Co-Founder of the European Association of Business Innovation Districts

EABID – the European Association of Business Innovation Districts – has been officially established in Brussels as a new European initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration, connectivity, and the development of a network of business innovation districts. Representatives from 14 European countries participated in its founding, and the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), a constituent of the University of Zagreb, is one of the co-founders and the first member from Croatia.

Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding signed at the 45th international conference on the development of organizational sciences in Slovenia

At this year’s 45th International conference on the development of organizational sciences in Portorož, Slovenia, titled “Organization and the Longevity Society,” universities from the region strengthened their academic cooperation by signing a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (University of Zagreb), Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, PhD; the Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (University of Maribor), Prof. Polona Šprajc, PhD; and the Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (University of Belgrade), Prof. Marko Mihić, PhD.
