World and European Money Week: lectures on money management, fintech and cryptocurrencies an at FOI

The program will take place in the period from March 19 to 21, 2024, and includes a number of different activities on current topics in the field of economics and finance. It is intended for FOI students of all study programs and years of study. Lecture topics cover a wide range of financial aspects, ranging from cryptocurrencies, fintech to modern money management strategies, providing participants with a comprehensive insight into the dynamic world of finance and the financial market. Lectures at FOI will be held by a number of prominent FOI alumni students, as well as other successful individuals and prominent professionals engaged in a range of entrepreneurial activities in the financial sector.

Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University is a guest lecturer at FOI

It is our great pleasure and honored to invite you to the lecture "Developing an entrepreneurial Mindset" by Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business, IN, USA.  The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in lecture room 10, FOI 1 in Varaždin.

 

Penn State University students and teachers visited FOI

The study visit with Penn State University is based on virtual collaboration within the Entrepreneurial Venture course. Assoc. Prof. Kristina Detelj, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Irena Konecki, Ph.D. along with students from the Economics of Entrepreneurship program, collaborate with professors Anne Hoag and Jeanette Miller and their students from Penn State.

TRUELA Kick-off meeting & Research workshop held

On Tuesday, 5 March 2024, a Kick-off meeting was held back-to-back with a Research workshop on trustworthy learning analytics (LA) and AI algorithms. The meeting, held in a hybrid format (@FOI and online), was led by Professor Blaženka Divjak, the projects’ principal investigator.

A 35-year tradition of international scientific conference CECIIS organized by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics

The Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems (CECIIS) has been a cornerstone in fostering researchers engaged in developing and applying methods and techniques in the realm of information and intelligent systems for almost 35 years now at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. Established in 1989, CECIIS, hosted annually in Varaždin, Croatia, has earned commendable credibility in the international scientific community over the past three and half decades. Its enduring tradition is reflected in the increasing participation and a surge in associated scientific and professional activities.

Welcome week for incoming studenents held – summer semester of the academic year 2023/2024

FOI International Relations Office held Welcome Week for incoming international students. Welcome Week took place from February 27th to March 1st, 2024. Incoming students will be studying at UNIZG FOI during the summer semester of the academic year 2023/24 through the Erasmus+ mobility program and bilateral agreements.

Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, dean of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics is participating in the prestigious EFMD 2024 Deans Conference in Amsterdam, which serves as a platform for business school leaders worldwide to gather, engage in discussions, and exchange best practices related to the evolving landscape of business education. The central theme of this year's conference is "Keeping up with transformation – Thriving in an evolving landscape."

Invited lecture by Ivana Marinković, EFMD global network director for Central and Eastern Europe

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. in Hall 2 (FOI 2), an invited lecture by Ivana Marinković, EFMD Global Network, Director for Central and Eastern Europe, will be held. The aim of the lecture is to familiarize the participants with the importance and advantages of the EFMD Global network and EFMD accreditations. The lecture will be held in English.
