Third-year students of the Economics of Entrepreneurship study programme recently attended a lecture hosted by the FOI Centre for International Relations, where they explored a wide range of international mobility opportunities through the Erasmus+ programme.
From March 23 to 27, 2026, the Vice Dean for Teaching and Students, Associate Professor Zlatko Stapić, PhD, Associate Professor Kristina Detelj, PhD, Head of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory, and Izabela Oletić Tušek, Head of the International Relations Centre, visited Penn State University in the United States as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. During their visit, numerous contacts were established, and concrete activities were agreed upon, focusing on future joint programs, student and staff exchanges, and strengthening institutional cooperation.
At the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, the Welcome Week – an orientation week for new incoming students – was held from 24 to 26 February 2026, officially marking the beginning of their academic stay in Varaždin. In the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, 30 international students arrived at FOI, representing a record number of incoming exchange students. The students come from France (ESIEA and Epitech), Slovakia (University of Žilina), Germany (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), and the Republic of South Africa (University of Pretoria).
During the winter semester 2025/26, students of Economics of Entrepreneurship study program virtually “traveled” and “visited” universities in Asia, America, and Europe, learning about different cultures and various approaches to human resource management in different cultures. The course Strategy of the human resource management is leaded by Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D., Full Prof. Violeta Vidaček Hainš, Ph.D. and assistant Karolina Kokot, Ph.D.
The FOI International Relations Office is organizing Welcome Week ahead of the start of the summer semester 2025/2026 for incoming international students who will spend the upcoming months at FOI. The programme will take place from 24 to 26 February 2026.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) welcomed students to the 10th Erasmus+ Info Day, organized by the International Cooperation Center. The event aimed to present students with a wide range of mobility and international opportunities available through the Erasmus+ program.
At the ceremonial session marking Faculty Day at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) on December 18, 2025, Prof. Luis de Marcos Ortega, full professor at the University of Alcalá in Madrid, was awarded a special recognition – the “Friend of FOI” Award. The award was presented in gratitude for his outstanding contributions to international collaboration, scientific and teaching excellence, and the promotion of FOI in the global academic community.
Students from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics took part in another short Erasmus+ exchange in Belgium – this time focusing on misinformation and artificial intelligence in the media. The program was held as part of a BIP exchange at Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Antwerp, under the name “Fractured Truths: Youth, Media and the Fight for Reality.”
In the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI) is hosting 13 international students from France (EPITECH and ECE), Romania (Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie Târgu Mureș), Spain (Universidad de Deusto) and South Korea (Chonnam National University). Traditionally, FOI’s International Relations Office organized a Welcome Week for them, held from September 29 to November 3, 2025.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), hosted the second FOI–ESIEA Summer School throughout September 2025. The program was jointly organized by FOI and its partner institution, the French engineering school ESIEA. It took place from September 1 to 25, 2025, bringing together 23 students and four professors from Croatia and France.
