2nd edition of Summer school organized by FOI and French ESIEA

The 15th Student Online and Poster Section CECIIS 2025 is gathering a large number of students from different countries. The chairs of the CECIIS Student Section are prof. dr. Strengthening the Partnership and Research Collaboration Between FOI and KIT
From July 2 to 4, 2025, three vice deans from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), visited the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany on a study visit that was focused on deepening the existing collaboration and opening new opportunities for academic mobility and joint scientific research initiatives. This visit marks a significant step in FOI’s internationalization efforts.

Conference “Learning Design in the AI Era” held
Around one hundred experts discussed the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. From June 30 to July 2, 2025, several events took place as part of the Erasmus+ project Innovating Learning Design in Higher Education (iLed) and the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) project Trustworthy Learning Analytics and AI for Sound Learning Design (TRUELA).

Regional Pre-incubation Center for Smart Industry in Croatia's academic sector
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics is launching the construction phase of the first Regional Pre-incubation Center for Smart Industry in Croatia's academic sector – a strategic and innovative project with a total value of €6.1 million. The project is being implemented with the support of the ITU mechanism and in partnership with the City of Varaždin. It marks a turning point in higher education, youth empowerment, and strengthening the economy of Northern Croatia.

FOI among the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide: EFMD Accreditation officially awarded
The Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, a constituent of the University of Zagreb, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D., officially received the prestigious EFMD accreditation for the Economics of Entrepreneurship Master’s Programme during the formal ceremony held as part of the EFMD Annual Conference 2025, taking place from June 1st to 3rd in Munich, Germany.

The second edition of the Global Goals Jam competition was held on May 19–20 at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (University of Zagreb). The event brought together 12 teams dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for real societal and environmental challenges—through the use of digital technologies and creative teamwork.
