On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted the second Tech&Business Talks@FOI conference, which once again gathered numerous students, high school pupils, teachers and professionals from various business sectors across Croatia. The rich program and the relevance of the topics reaffirmed FOI’s importance as a central hub connecting technology, business and innovation, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence.
A new student community called Dev Club has been launched at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin. The club brings together students interested in programming, software development, and technology, with the goal of encouraging hands-on work, collaboration, and knowledge sharing through workshops, hackathons, and student-led development projects.
Students, alumni, and all enthusiasts of technology and the business world will soon have the opportunity to attend the second Tech&Business Talks@FOI conference, taking place on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (Pavlinska 2, Varaždin). Tech&Business Talks@FOI is organized as a series of short parallel talks across two tracks – an IT track and a Business track – designed to connect knowledge, experience, and ideas from the fields of technology and business.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) stood out as one of the most productive constituents of the University of Zagreb at this year’s University Book Day, held on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at the Regional Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning for South-East Europe – SEECEL in Zagreb. On this occasion, FOI received a special recognition for its high productivity in creating university teaching literature, reaffirming the Faculty’s long-standing commitment to developing and publishing high-quality academic materials.
At the Faculty of Organization and Informatics another Career Week successfully concluded from October 20 to 25, 2025, connecting students, employers, and alumni through a rich program of activities, panels, and workshops. Over six days, FOI hosted representatives from around 50 companies, who conducted 15 professional workshops, while participation from nearly 600 students confirmed the strong interest in this event.
President of the Republic Zoran Milanović held a lecture today in Varaždin for students of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics on the topic “Global Challenges and the Political Environment”, highlighting FOI as one of the most reputable institutions in Croatia.
From October 20 to 24, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics once again becomes the hub of career opportunities as the 14th Career Week takes place, organized by CPSRK FOI. Students can look forward to inspiring workshops, talks with potential employers, panels on attractive topics such as artificial intelligence and the mental health of Generation Z, as well as a new program feature – Career Blitz, which will give them the chance to test out a real job interview.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is hosting a Fulbright Scholar for the first time – Dr. Thomas Penniston, a renowned expert in the field of learning analytics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in the United States.
In the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI) is hosting 13 international students from France (EPITECH and ECE), Romania (Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie Târgu Mureș), Spain (Universidad de Deusto) and South Korea (Chonnam National University). Traditionally, FOI’s International Relations Office organized a Welcome Week for them, held from September 29 to November 3, 2025.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), hosted the second FOI–ESIEA Summer School throughout September 2025. The program was jointly organized by FOI and its partner institution, the French engineering school ESIEA. It took place from September 1 to 25, 2025, bringing together 23 students and four professors from Croatia and France.
