The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) will host the 11th International Scientific Conference CRODMA 2026, which will take place on 22–23 October 2026 in Varaždin.
Prof. Renata Mekovec, PhD has been elected today at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) as the new Dean for a three-year term. Her mandate will begin in the 2026/2027 academic year.
The celebration of European Week in Varaždin County began with a thematic session of the Council for Education, Economy and Interregional Cooperation, held on May 5 at Villa Oršić in Varaždin. The session, titled “The Academic Community as a Driver of Economic and Social Development”, featured the Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb (FOI) as an example of good practice.
At the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, a kick-off conference for the three-year research and innovation project HeyAIde – Health Empowerment for You through AI Direct Engagement was held on April 29, 2026. The project is led by BIT4BYTES Ltd., in collaboration with partners FOI, Revent Smart Ltd., and ValMod Center, with the goal of researching and developing innovative smart solutions for personalized remote patient monitoring, consultations, and therapies.
The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin organized a series of panel discussions during April and May 2026, bringing together professionals, alumni, academics, and industry representatives to discuss key topics shaping digital transformation, education, leadership, and career and the future of work. The events provided a platform for knowledge exchange between the academic community and industry experts, highlighting the importance of collaboration in addressing contemporary societal and technological challenges.
The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), opened its doors to all interested visitors on April 30, 2026, as part of the FOI Open Day and a parallel student project showcase event, organized by the Career Development and Student Support Center with the support of the Faculty management, students and staff.
The 2026 Science Festival was held from April 20 to 25 across Croatia, and this year’s theme was energy – a fundamental driver of nature, society, and technological development. The Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, PhD, participated in a panel discussion at the 15th International Scientific Conference “Region, Entrepreneurship, Development”, held in Osijek on April 24, 2026.
The competition is organized by IPMA Young Crew Croatia as part of the international initiative of the International Project Management Association, with the aim of developing practical knowledge and skills in the field of project management. Through this competition, students have the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge while also developing analytical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills by solving real business challenges.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, we invite you to a lecture titled “New Thinking: How Information Processing Shapes Entrepreneurial Action”, which will be held as part of the Faculty’s internal project Time 4 Science, as well as one of the activities organized במסגרת this year’s International Cooperation Days of FOI. The lecture will take place from 12:00 to 13:30 in the Council Hall of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, and will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Shawn M. Clark, an internationally recognized expert in innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational transformation.
