Research visit of Prof. Luis de Marcos Ortega to FOI
On Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23, 2026, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) hosted a seminar and a workshop dedicated to the application of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs) in scientific research. The activities were organized as part of the research visit of Prof. Luis de Marcos Ortega from the University of Alcalá (Spain), carried out within the activities of FOI’s Laboratory for Applied Software Engineering.

UKM delegation from Malaysia visits FOI to strengthen AI and robotics collaboration
A delegation from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), one of the partner universities in the Erasmus+ DIGITAsia project coordinated by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, visited FOI for a two-day study visit. The visit built upon the successful collaboration established through the project and focused on the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics in education.

NEYHO Informatika and FOI launch the implementation of the DCAASO and AgriGuard EOS R&D project
In April 2026, the implementation of the three-year research and development project Dynamic Contextual AI Orchestrator for Data Security and Green Process Optimization – DCAASO and AgriGuard EOS (PK.1.1.12.0110) commenced. The project is carried out by NEYHO Informatika d.o.o. in partnership with the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics.

Career Compass project launched
At the beginning of July 2026, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics signed a Grant Agreement for the implementation of the project Career Compass: Enhancing the Employability of Faculty of Organization and Informatics Students Through Professional Practice (SF.2.4.06.08.0053), financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) within the 2021–2027 financial framework.
Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme "Reshape to Sustain" successfully completed
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), successfully hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Reshape to Sustain: Sustainable Future Enabled by Next-Level Digital Transformation" from 28 June to 4 July 2026, bringing together 28 students and 13 academic staff members from seven European universities.
