At the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), the winners of the major OTP & FOI Hackathon 'InnoFusion' were announced today. The prizes were awarded in the newly equipped laboratory classroom, whose furnishing and setup were made possible through a strategic partnership with OTP Bank.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics actively expands its partner network of international universities every year. For the academic year 2025/26 until 2028/29, in addition to already existing partnerships, the Faculty signed three new bilateral agreements with prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania.
The media company VIDI has once again highlighted exceptional women shaping the Croatian hi-tech scene by organizing the prestigious selection of the 50 Most Influential Women in Croatian ICT. This year’s VIDI AWARDS ceremony, held on November 27, 2024, in Zagreb, recognized two representatives of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) - Dean Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D., and former Dean Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, Ph.D.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the University of Zagreb hosted an awards ceremony to recognize the best student athletes for the 2023/2024 academic year. The event was jointly organized by the University of Zagreb Sports Office and the Zagreb Academic Sports Association.

The partner university of FOI, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) in the Netherlands, organized the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) for the fourth time in a row, this time titled “IOT for Humanity”. Ten FOI students and one faculty member participated in the program, which took place from October 7 to November 23, 2024. The final week of the BIP was reserved for participants' stay in Amsterdam.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (SUZG FOI) has been successfully building strong ties with renowned American universities for over 15 years, distinguishing itself in the process of internationalization and strengthening international collaboration. Key partners of SUZG FOI in this strategic endeavor include Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), Indiana State University (ISU), and the University of Cincinnati (UC), with whom it jointly implements projects of significance for students, Faculty, and researchers.
The Vice-Deans of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics visited the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Maribor to enhance academic collaboration and exchange experiences between the two institutions. The visit focused on key topics related to improving international programs, lifelong learning, and joint research projects.
Prof.dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš visited the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA from November 10-16, 2024. She delivered several lectures for students and presentations for teachers and staff with topics linked to the cross-cultural communication competences, COIL - collaborative online international learning teaching method. She shared information about the upcoming 13th Students Research Symposium on Intercultural Learning and about the 15th Student section of the CECIIS international conference.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), took part in the International Day organised by its partner university, ESIEA. The event took place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, when Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, presented FOI to ESIEA students, highlighting its key advantages as an great choice for short or long term mobility. On the following day, FOI Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, joined Prof. Begičević Ređep, and together they attended a series of meetings with ESIEA researchers, doctoral candidates and lab leaders.
