The project roadmap, including activities and objectives, was presented by project manager Ivor Bakša from Triple-Innovations Ltd. and Associate Professor Suzana Keglević Kozjak, PhD, head of the FOI team, highlighting the strong synergy between industry and academia. The project team is developing an innovative platform that integrates generative artificial intelligence, formal mathematical verification of business rules (SMT), and automated ESG/CO₂ calculations into a single system. The FOI team also includes Prof. Vladimir Kovšca, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Zrinka Lacković Vincek, PhD, and Tanja Šestanj-Perić, MSc.
Quoka CPQ will enable a complete transformation of B2B quotation processes – from configuration and pricing to proposal generation and ESG analysis – in real time. This significantly reduces costs, accelerates workflows, and eliminates errors. Such an approach delivers a fully digitalized, automated, and data-driven sales process, allowing organizations greater agility, faster responses to market changes, and full transparency toward clients and regulators.
The solution is particularly relevant for complex industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, energy, ICT, and the financial sector, where increasing demands for speed, accuracy, and ESG compliance require entirely new digital solutions. In addition to strong market potential, the project also has significant social and economic impact – contributing to the development of Croatia’s high-tech industry, creating new R&D jobs, and strengthening export potential and international competitiveness.
The role of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, is focused on scientific research, particularly testing advanced AI and analytical solutions, as well as methods for business rule verification and ESG/CO₂ metric calculations. In this way, FOI ensures the quality, reliability, and real-world applicability of the developed platform. The QUOKA CPQ project confirms the importance of collaboration between academia and industry and represents a significant step toward developing innovative and sustainable digital solutions for complex B2B processes.
