Created: 21.04.2026

he Regional Center for Pre-Incubation in Smart Industry has launched a pilot pre-incubation program intended for students who want to develop their own business ideas, gain practical knowledge, and take their first steps toward entrepreneurship with the support of mentors.

Through the program, students have the opportunity to develop their own business ideas, learn how to test them on the market, work with the support of mentors and experts, gain practical knowledge, and improve their entrepreneurial, business, and technological skills. The program also opens opportunities for them to connect with people from the business and startup community, helping them build a professional network and meet potential investors.

FOI experts, along with external specialists from companies and organizations including SICK Mobilisis, Emil Frey Digital, UNIT, BIRD Incubator, LEGIT, and Vesna VC, are involved in delivering the program. They will support participants in transforming their ideas into sustainable business concepts.

Through sessions covering the basics of a business plan, design thinking, go-to-market strategy, business model development, the use of generative artificial intelligence in solution development, agile planning, Industry 4.0 and 5.0 topics, cloud and cybersecurity in industrial systems, and pitch workshops, participants will gradually shape their ideas.

The program concludes on May 6, 2026, with presentations of the developed ideas and solutions. The best teams will have the opportunity to use office space at one of the Regional Center for Pre-Incubation in Smart Industry’s partner locations for one year, with the possibility of winning additional surprise prizes.

The launch of this program marks an important step in strengthening students’ entrepreneurial competencies and encouraging innovation and the development of new solutions in the field of smart industry.
