UNIZG FOI starts with implementation of the DigEntre research project
In December 2023, a team of researchers from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), led by the Faculty Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D. started the implementation of the research project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation - " Digitalization in entrepreneurship in the context of response to an exogenous shock: Drivers, barriers and impact on firm resilience".

Invited lecture on social justice and social inclusion
We invite you to an interesting invited lecture that will be held as part of the Business Communication course at the undergraduate study of Entrepreneurship Economics on Wednesday, December 20 at 13:00 p.m. at FOI 2 dv 2. The topic of the lecture is SPONA - COOPERATION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND SOCIAL INCLUSION. The lecturer is Martina Horvat, prof. of social pedagogy from the Ambidekster Club in Zagreb.

FOI celebrated the Faculty Day at a grand ceremony in Varaždin
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, marked the Faculty Day on Friday, December 15, 2023, at a ceremony held at the Varaždin National Theatre. The event, attended by a large number of students, faculty, staff, business representatives, and partner institutions, as well as distinguished guests, commemorated the rich history of the Faculty. With one of the longest-standing traditions in educating IT professionals in Croatia, the Faculty was founded 61 years ago as the Higher School of Economics and established as a faculty 49 years ago. The grand ceremony included the presentation of awards, recognitions, and expressions of gratitude to students, faculty, and staff who have enriched FOI and the broader academic community through their excellence and contributions.

EFMD accreditation: Workshop "Intended Learning Outcomes and constructive alignment: improvement of graduate study programme Economics of Entrepreneurship in the EFMD context" part II held
The second part of workshop Ishodi učenja kolegija i konstruktivno poravnanje: unapređenje diplomskog studija Ekonomika poduzetništva u kontekstu EFMD akreditacije (Intended Learning Outcomes and constructive alignment: improvement of graduate study Economics of Entrepreneurship in the EFMD context) was held for the teachers as a part of the preparation for the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) accreditation of the graduate study programme Economics of Entrepreneurship on December 8, 2023 at FOI.

Inclusive Entrepreneurship Day at FOI
On Friday, December 1, 2023, the Day of Inclusive Entrepreneurship will be held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. The event represents the final conference as part of the WeRin project, where the activities and results of the work on the project will be presented. As part of the conference, there will also be a panel discussion on the inclusiveness of the Croatian entrepreneurial ecosystem, in which representatives of the educational system, supporting entrepreneurial institutions, as well as the entrepreneurs themselves will participate.

Associate Professor Kuntal Bhattacharyya, Ph.D. from Indiana State University Scott College of Business has recently completed an extensive study visit to the University of Zagreb, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), within the framework of a bilateral agreement between Indiana State University and the University of Zagreb.

Sixth bloxberg Summit: research institutions in Belgrade for transparent, efficient, and secure international collaboration in science
On 26-27 October, the members of the bloxberg Association for the Advancement of Science and Blockchain e.V. met in Belgrade for the sixth time and The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics representatives also participated. During the summit, Max Planck Society (MPG) was appointed Chair of the Board of the Association. Discussions included the expansion of the world’s largest proof-of-authority network, operated exclusively by research institutions.
