The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), hosted the second FOI–ESIEA Summer School throughout September 2025. The program was jointly organized by FOI and its partner institution, the French engineering school ESIEA. It took place from September 1 to 25, 2025, bringing together 23 students and four professors from Croatia and France.
Our Head of the FOI International Relations Office, Izabela Oletić Tušek, represented FOI at the world’s largest international education fair in Europe – the EAIE Conference 2025, held in Gothenburg, Sweden (9–12 September 2025). This year’s theme, “GO-create”, focused on collaboration, innovation and co-creation, with over 240 sessions, workshops and activities featuring more than 500 speakers.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin organized and held the student conference within the Erasmus+ project AI2SEP – Developing Talents in Artificial Intelligence to Solve Disruptive Environmental Problems, from September 8 to 11, 2025. The conference brought together more than 25 professors and students from Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Slovenia, along with the hosts – FOI students and faculty members.
Following the success of the first Summer School held in September 2024, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is once again joining forces with its French partner, the engineering school ESIEA, to announce the second edition of the Summer School, which will take place in September 2025 in Varaždin.
The seventeenth FOI International Days 2025 were held at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, from May 21 to 23, 2025, under the theme “International Horizons: Bridging Minds, Changing Lives!”. This year’s theme highlighted the transformative power of student mobility on personal, academic, and professional development.
The traditional 13th International Research Student Symposium on Intercultural Learning is being held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics from May 25 to June 2, 2025. About 40 students and professors from partner institutions in the USA - University of Cincinnati, Ohio, University of Central Florida, Orlando and Indiana State University from Terre Haute, Indiana will participate in the Symposium. The project manager is Full Prof. Violeta Vidaček Hainš, PhD.
Prof. Dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš visited the Republic of South Africa and presented experiences linked to the virtual mobility in teaching - Collaborative online International Learning (COIL) at the University of Pretoria (UP). The goal of this visit was to continue and extend the cooperation between the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and the Department of Information Sciences of the University of Pretoria.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), took part in the International Day organised by its partner university, ESIEA. The event took place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, when Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, presented FOI to ESIEA students, highlighting its key advantages as an great choice for short or long term mobility. On the following day, FOI Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, joined Prof. Begičević Ređep, and together they attended a series of meetings with ESIEA researchers, doctoral candidates and lab leaders.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI) held an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) called “BIP4BIPs” for teaching and non-teaching staff from September 22 to 28, 2024.
The sixteenth FOI International Days took place at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin from May 15 to 17, 2024. The central theme of the event was Sustainable Partnerships. This year, we hosted a record number of international participants. Almost 60 teachers, researchers, experts and students from 10 countries across three continents (Europe, North America, and Africa) attended the event, with nearly 350 participants taking part in the three-day programme. FOI International Days 2024 were organized by the FOI International Relations Office.
