On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 25 students led by Assoc. Prof. Whitney Westrich and Assoc. Prof. Jaime Windeler from the University of Cincinnati (UC) visited FOI. This visit is part of the virtual collaboration at the Human Resources and Career Development course, taught by Prof. Marina Klacmer Čalopa and Prof. Violeta Vidaček Hainš.
We are pleased to invite students and staff to join us for the 17th edition of FOI International Days 2025, which will take place from May 21 to May 23, 2025. This year's theme is "International Horizons: Bridging Minds, Changing Lives!", focusing on student mobility and its impact on personal and academic growth and development.
The FOI International Relations Office is organizing Welcome Week for incoming international students who will be studying at FOI during the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The program will take place from February 25 to February 28, 2025.
From January 15th to 16th, 2025, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics is hosting 15 students and 5 professors from the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa. This two-day visit is designed to enhance collaboration and facilitate the exchange of ideas between the two institutions. Initiated by the University of Pannonia, the visit builds on the successful collaboration established through the cross-border IC4HEDS project. At FOI, the project has been coordinated by Full Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, Ph.D., who, in collaboration with the FOI International Office, has created the program for the visit.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics actively expands its partner network of international universities every year. For the academic year 2025/26 until 2028/29, in addition to already existing partnerships, the Faculty signed three new bilateral agreements with prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (SUZG FOI) has been successfully building strong ties with renowned American universities for over 15 years, distinguishing itself in the process of internationalization and strengthening international collaboration. Key partners of SUZG FOI in this strategic endeavor include Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), Indiana State University (ISU), and the University of Cincinnati (UC), with whom it jointly implements projects of significance for students, Faculty, and researchers.
Prof.dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš visited the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA from November 10-16, 2024. She delivered several lectures for students and presentations for teachers and staff with topics linked to the cross-cultural communication competences, COIL - collaborative online international learning teaching method. She shared information about the upcoming 13th Students Research Symposium on Intercultural Learning and about the 15th Student section of the CECIIS international conference.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), took part in the International Day organised by its partner university, ESIEA. The event took place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, when Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, presented FOI to ESIEA students, highlighting its key advantages as an great choice for short or long term mobility. On the following day, FOI Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, joined Prof. Begičević Ređep, and together they attended a series of meetings with ESIEA researchers, doctoral candidates and lab leaders.
FOI’s partner university, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business and Economics, organized an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “International Communication and AI.” The program ran from September 30 to October 18, 2024, with the final week (from November 14 to 18) organized face-to-face in Amsterdam. Two faculty members and nine students from University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics participated in the BIP.
On 4th October, 2024, the initial online meeting of the Erasmus+ project SuMoS - Strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable student mobility was held.
