Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University is a guest lecturer at FOI

It is our great pleasure and honored to invite you to the lecture "Developing an entrepreneurial Mindset" by Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business, IN, USA.  The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in lecture room 10, FOI 1 in Varaždin.

 

Penn State University students and teachers visited FOI

The study visit with Penn State University is based on virtual collaboration within the Entrepreneurial Venture course. Assoc. Prof. Kristina Detelj, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Irena Konecki, Ph.D. along with students from the Economics of Entrepreneurship program, collaborate with professors Anne Hoag and Jeanette Miller and their students from Penn State.

Strengthening international ties with Faculty of Management Science and Informatics from Žilina

During the 61st anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics at the University of Zagreb, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Peter Márton, Ph.D., was honored with the prestigious "Friend of FOI" Charter by the Faculty Council. This annual award recognizes international associates for their exceptional contributions and efforts in fostering strong ties with our institution.

Study Visit of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuntal Bhattacharyya from Indiana State University Scott College of Business to the Faculty of Organization and Informatics

Associate Professor Kuntal Bhattacharyya, Ph.D. from Indiana State University Scott College of Business has recently completed an extensive study visit to the University of Zagreb, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), within the framework of a bilateral agreement between Indiana State University and the University of Zagreb.

Students and teachers from FOI participated in the Erasmus+ combined intensive program in Romania

Six students and two teachers from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb participated from July 8 to 16, 2023 in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) entitled "BEST - Boost your Entrepreneurship Skills in Transylvania". BIP was held in the city of Targu Mures in the center of Transylvania, and the topic of the program was the development of student's entrepreneurial skills and innovation-oriented behavior, as well as the exchange of knowledge and culture in multidisciplinary and international teams for the purpose of preparing and modeling entrepreneurial projects (start-ups/spin -offs).

Visiting scholar Prof. Violeta Vidaček Hainš Ph.D. at the Indiana State University in the USA

Professor Violeta Vidaček Hainš (FOI) is visiting scholar at the Indiana State University in Terre Haute (July 2nd –13th Aug 2023). She is teaching the Business Report Writing course at the Undergraduate level of study at the Scott College of Business. Additional presentations are linked to intercultural communication, experiences in students virtual mobility projects, student CECIIS online section and Student research symposium at FOI.

For the 2nd time FOI teachers organized an Erasmus+ blended intensive program (BIP) „Transform to sustain: Sustainable future enabled by digital transformation“

Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University in Zagreb, organized and coordinated Erasmus+ Blended intensive program (BIP) „Transform to sustain: Sustainable future enabled by digital transformation“. This BIP was held for the second year in row, at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of Split, with widened network of international partners.

FOI participated in another Erasmus+ Combined Intensive Program (BIP) "Next-Level - Innovation for sustainability and inclusion"

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics has once again participated in Erasmus+ Combined Intensive Programs (BIP) under the name "Next-Level - Innovation for sustainability and inclusion" in Amsterdam. The lecturer from FOI was Martina Tomičić Furjan, and the students who participated and earned 5 ECTS from FOI were Jana Pučar, Klara Škaulj, Mateo Vujica and Benjamin Filip Šikač. Other partners involved in the implementation of the program, in addition to FOI, were Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Netherlands (coordinator), Karel de Grote University College, Antwerp, Belgium and Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart, Germany. Total of 37 students and 6 lecturers participated in the program.
