The Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin organized and held the student conference within the Erasmus+ project AI2SEP – Developing Talents in Artificial Intelligence to Solve Disruptive Environmental Problems, from September 8 to 11, 2025. The conference brought together more than 25 professors and students from Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Slovenia, along with the hosts – FOI students and faculty members.
The Cracker Barrel Session is an informal, collaborative forum designed to enhance decision-making agility in the digital transformation of education within our higher education institution, with a specific focus on integrating AI. In the spirit of a traditional gathering, cheese and wine will be provided to encourage an open and relaxed atmosphere. The event will took place at CECIIS 2025 this September at FOI.

University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics continues its efforts to promote internationalization, as one of its strategic goals. This fall, 27 students and 5 teachers will participate in four Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), which will take place between September and November 2025 in North Macedonia, the Netherlands, and twice in Belgium.
Following the success of the first Summer School held in September 2024, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is once again joining forces with its French partner, the engineering school ESIEA, to announce the second edition of the Summer School, which will take place in September 2025 in Varaždin.
The 15th Student Online and Poster Section CECIIS 2025 is gathering a large number of students from different countries. The chairs of the CECIIS Student Section are prof. dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš, Faculty of Organization and Informatics Varaždin and prof. dr. Victoria Appatova, University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA, and associate is Dr. Antonela Devčić.

While contemporary technologies are indispensable, it is essential to always place humans before technology.
From July 2 to 4, 2025, three vice deans from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), visited the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany on a study visit that was focused on deepening the existing collaboration and opening new opportunities for academic mobility and joint scientific research initiatives. This visit marks a significant step in FOI’s internationalization efforts.
From July 2 to 4, 2025, the partners of the international SuMoS project gathered at the partner institution ESIEA in Paris for a three-day event that included a focus group and a working meeting dedicated to the development of the Institutional Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME).
