The program was held as a combination of online and in-person sessions on the AUAS campus in Amsterdam, with the in-person part of the program taking place from November 17 to 23. In addition to FOI students, participants included students from other international universities in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden.
As part of the Green Mile project, participants worked in 10 international teams. The Green Mile is a specific area in Amsterdam used for testing innovative solutions in sustainability and smart technologies. The teams chose one of four challenges: reducing waste and littering, raising awareness about nature, reducing noise pollution and combating air pollution.
The FOI faculty member who participated in the implementation of this BIP as a coordinator and lecturer was Full Prof. Katarina Tomičić-Pupek, while the participating students were Ana Rudolf, Anamarija Dominiković, Leonarda Ferk, Iva Udovčić, Dora Jakoubek, Marija Grozdek, Elena Jug, Stanko Smrček, Karlo Rosenthal, and Leo Fran Maltar Kovačić.
The goal of the program was not only to exchange knowledge and experiences among students from different countries but also to develop concrete solutions that could contribute to a sustainable future. Through collaboration and innovation, the students managed to propose creative solutions that could be applied in real-life situations in the future.
