Prof. Blaženka Divjak, PhD, Full Professor with tenure at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics and Head of the Learning Analytics Laboratory at FOI, has been elected president of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), the leading international organization in the field of learning analytics.
On Wednesday, 28 January 2026, a thematic session titled “Artificial Intelligence and India: Opportunities for Students, Research and Cooperation” was held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin. The event was jointly organised by the Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The session brought together representatives of the academic community, IT industry, public sector, and diplomacy with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Croatia, the European Union, and India in the fields of artificial intelligence, education, and research.
The Embassy of India in the Republic of Croatia and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI) are organizing a thematic session and panel discussions entitled “Artificial Intelligence and India: Opportunities for Students, Research and Cooperation”, to be held on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin.
The projects focus on innovative and socially relevant research, ranging from digital twins and artificial intelligence to educational technologies, analytics, and innovation management. Through these initiatives, FOI not only fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and the application of new technologies but also contributes to the development of a digital, sustainable, and inclusive society.
The OpenCode.HR platform for collaborative open-source software development in Croatia’s academic and scientific community has been launched. The platform provides a secure environment for developing, sharing, and adapting open-source projects, promoting transparency, openness, and knowledge exchange.
We invite students of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics to participate in the FOI survey, which assesses the quality of teaching and the work of teachers, and which will be conducted during the 13th week of classes, from Monday, January 12, 2026 to Friday, January 16, 2026.
On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a lecture entitled “Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence”, held as part of the Faculty’s internal project Time 4 Science. The lecture at FOI was delivered by Dr. Keith Quille and Dr. Rajesh Jaiswal from Technological University Dublin, School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation (ECDT).
