These international students are joining FOI through the Erasmus+ mobility program and bilateral agreements, spending either one semester or the entire academic year studying in Varaždin.
To help them adapt more easily to their new environment, each international student was paired with a FOI Student Buddy – a local student volunteer who assists them in getting to know the faculty and the city. This year, FOI Student Buddies participated in organizing various activities for the international students, including a Pancakes Party and a Treasure Hunt, and we would like to thank them for their enthusiasm and commitment!
During the first day of the Welcome Week, students attended a presentation about the University of Zagreb and FOI. On the second day, teachers introduced the courses and workshops offered in English. On Wednesday, international students and their buddies joined a guided city tour with a local tourist guide, while on Thursday, the buddies organized a Pancakes Party in the student dorm kitchen. The final day, Friday, was reserved for a city Treasure Hunt, during which students had great fun and got to know Varaždin even better.
