A diverse programme of activities was designed for the new students. The three-day programme began with an introduction to the Faculty and the city of Varaždin, including a guided city tour. During the tour, the guide presented the most important landmarks and points of interest in Varaždin, introducing students to its rich history and cultural heritage.
On Wednesday, the programme officially commenced with welcome addresses delivered by Izabela Oletić Tušek, Head of the International Relations Office; Associate Professor Martina Tomičić Furjan, PhD, Vice Dean for Science, Projects and International Cooperation; and Associate Professor Katarina Pažur Aničić, PhD, ECTS Coordinator, who wished the students a successful and inspiring stay at FOI.
Afterwards, the professors who will be teaching the incoming students introduced themselves and their courses, briefly familiarising students with the course content, teaching methods, and expectations for the upcoming semester.
A particularly cheerful atmosphere prevailed during the pub quiz and pizza night at the Varaždin Student Dormitory, where students teamed up with FOI Buddies and later continued socialising and getting to know each other at the popular “Student Wednesday” event.
The Welcome Week concluded with a Treasure Hunt and a hangout, where students once again combined knowledge, teamwork, and new friendships in a fun and interactive way, relaxing and enjoying pleasant social time together.
