What should universities do today to remain relevant tomorrow? In an educational context that is constantly evolving, especially with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, it is crucial to enable students to learn actively and to support teachers in learning design. While contemporary technologies are indispensable, it is essential to always place humans before technology.
Around one hundred experts discussed the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. From June 30 to July 2, 2025, several events took place as part of the Erasmus+ project Innovating Learning Design in Higher Education (iLed) and the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) project Trustworthy Learning Analytics and AI for Sound Learning Design (TRUELA).
The final conference of the iLed project, titled "Learning Design in the AI Era", will take place on 1 July 2025 at the University of Zagreb's School of Medicine. The event will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping learning design in higher education and beyond.
