Collaboration with Hungary: Visit of students and professors from the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa

From January 15th to 16th, 2025, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics is hosting 15 students and 5 professors from the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa. This two-day visit is designed to enhance collaboration and facilitate the exchange of ideas between the two institutions. Initiated by the University of Pannonia, the visit builds on the successful collaboration established through the cross-border IC4HEDS project. At FOI, the project has been coordinated by Full Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, Ph.D., who, in collaboration with the FOI International Office, has created the program for the visit.

Erasmus+ SuMoS project kick-off meeting held in Varaždin

From 16 to 18 December 2024, the Erasmus+ SuMoS project kick-off meeting, fully titled Strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable student mobility, was held in Varaždin, organized by the project coordinator, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The meeting was held in a hybrid format and was led by the project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Katarina Pažur Aničić, Ph.D.

Faculty of Organization and Informatics celebrates 50th anniversary

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), a constituent of the University of Zagreb, celebrated its 50th anniversary of establishment and 62 years of existence on December,18th, 2024. A ceremonial session held at the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin gathered the extended FOI community, including employees, students, partners, and friends of the Faculty.

FOI signed new bilateral agreements for the exchange of students and staff with universities from the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania

The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics actively expands its partner network of international universities every year. For the academic year 2025/26 until 2028/29, in addition to already existing partnerships, the Faculty signed three new bilateral agreements with prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania.

Starting the new Erasmus+ project SuMoS - FOI is the leading partner

On 4th October, 2024, the initial online meeting of the Erasmus+ project SuMoS - Strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable student mobility was held.

Students from FOI presented their research at the 12th Student Research Symposium in the USA

The 12th Student's Symposium on Research and Intercultural learning was held from July 10 to July 21th, 2024 at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN and DePaul University Chicago, USA.

Second summer school of the Erasmus+ project DEMO held in Romania

FOI students participated in the second summer school of the Erasmus+ project DEMO that was held in Bucharest, Romania from July 14th to July 19th 2024.

The project 'Green step forward: Days of sustainable development' of the FOI Student Council was declared the second best in the Srednja.hr competition

As part of the 'Brucoš 101' project, the portal Srednja.hr declared the best student projects in the country and rewarded them, and second place was won by the Student Council of FOI for the project 'Green step forward: Days of sustainable development', which was carried out in the spring in Varaždin. Brucoš 101 is intended for all those who plan to become students and helps them prepare for graduation and introduces them to the world of studying.

Students' final project solutions to the task set by Konzum d.o.o.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, as part of the Internet Marketing course in the 1st year of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics, presentations of project solutions to the task presented by Maja Šarić, Head of Digital marketing at Konzum plus d.o.o., were held. The project solution was offered by 22 students divided into 5 teams. The solution included the creation of a digital marketing plan on the topic of employer branding for Gen Z. The solutions were successfully presented in front of the representatives of the company Konzum plus d.o.o., Maja Šarić and Katarina Havaić Tomac, and the subject teachers.
