Created: 15.05.2025

Students from FOI participated in the national final of the Project Management Championship on April 26, 2025. The competition, organized by IPMA Young Crew Croatia, was held in Zagreb at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. FOI was represented by three teams, and the team of second-year graduate students from the Business Systems Organization program - Jan Ivančić, Matija Kljaić, and Dominik Novak - won first place, securing their spot in the international finals, which will take place from June 6 to 8, 2025, in Warsaw, Poland.

The Project Management Championship (PMC) is a unique competition for undergraduate and graduate students at both national and international levels, targeting those interested in the field of project management.

The goal of the project is to increase student engagement in project management practices on national and international levels by fostering the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices between academia and the business world. This competition provides students with a valuable opportunity to tackle a real-world business case, apply their theoretical project management knowledge in practice, and present their solutions to professionals in the field.

In the final round, participants were tasked with developing a business solution for Triglav Insurance, focusing on the development of new sales channels for supplementary health insurance services. The objective was to increase market share and brand awareness, particularly among younger demographics. The winning FOI team presented an innovative plan that included proposals for specific marketing channels, free health check-ups, and educational workshops, along with a detailed implementation roadmap through 2030.

This outstanding achievement reflects the high level of knowledge, creativity, and expertise of our students.

Congratulations to Jan, Matija, and Dominik on winning first place—we wish them great success at the international finals!
