Strengthening Cross-Border Collaboration in Higher Education with Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Maribor
The Vice-Deans of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics visited the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Maribor to enhance academic collaboration and exchange experiences between the two institutions. Prof.dr. Violeta Vidaček Hainš visited the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA from November 10-16, 2024. She delivered several lectures for students and presentations for teachers and staff with topics linked to the cross-cultural communication competences, COIL - collaborative online international learning teaching method. She shared information about the upcoming 13th Students Research Symposium on Intercultural Learning and about the 15th Student section of the CECIIS international conference.

UNIZG FOI participated in ESIEA International Day
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), took part in the International Day organised by its partner university, ESIEA. The event took place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, when Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, presented FOI to ESIEA students, highlighting its key advantages as an great choice for short or long term mobility. On the following day, FOI Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, joined Prof. Begičević Ređep, and together they attended a series of meetings with ESIEA researchers, doctoral candidates and lab leaders.

Professor Divjak at a conference on transforming education in the Persian Gulf countries
On 5 and 6 November 2024, a conference on Challenges in Transforming Education and Enhancing the Future of Education in the Gulf Countries, organized by the Gulf Arab States Educational Research Center, was held in Kuwait. Professor Divjak held an inspiring keynote speech entitled Reimagining Education: What is the Role of Humans in the Era of AI?.

Students and faculty members from UNIZG FOI participated in Erasmus+ blended intensive program at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business and Economics
FOI’s partner university, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business and Economics, organized an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “International Communication and AI.” The program ran from September 30 to October 18, 2024, with the final week (from November 14 to 18) organized face-to-face in Amsterdam. Two faculty members and nine students from University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics participated in the BIP.

Career Advisors’ Gathering at FOI on the Role of Career Centers and Employer Collaboration in (Re)Accreditation Processes
On Thursday, October 24, 2024, University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a gathering of career advisors on the topic “The Role of Career Centers and Employer Collaboration in (Re)Accreditation Processes.” Organized by FOI's Center for Student Support and Career Development (CPSRK), the event brought together nearly 40 participants from 35 educational institutions across Croatia.

Erasmus+ Mobility at the University of Łódź
The Erasmus+ mobility at the University of Łódź from October 13 to 19, 2024, marked the first teaching and training mobility between the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and this university, conducted by Teaching Assistant Marija Maček. The focus of this mobility was on enhancing academic cooperation, exchanging teaching methods, and developing new opportunities for project collaboration. During her visit, Assistant Maček conducted laboratory exercises in the Programming Web Services course. This mobility has strengthened the potential for future joint projects and initiatives between the two faculties.

This year's FOI Career Week gathered 70 companies and many early career development events
FOI's Career week – the most important point of gathering for FOI students and their future employers is happening from October 21 until October 25, 2024. This year's event brought together representatives of around 70 companies and provides opportunities for students to engage in expert workshops, panel discussions and a conference as well as to connect with employers in the informal part of the event.
