On Thursday, October 24, 2024, University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a gathering of career advisors on the topic “The Role of Career Centers and Employer Collaboration in (Re)Accreditation Processes.” Organized by FOI's Center for Student Support and Career Development (CPSRK), the event brought together nearly 40 participants from 35 educational institutions across Croatia.

The gathering opened with a welcome address from FOI Dean, Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of cooperation and innovation in career center operations. “FOI has always strived to be a leading institution in bridging the gap with industry and providing quality career support to our students. Today’s gathering is proof of our joint efforts in this direction, and I am pleased to see that our work, both through CPSRK and through international accreditations, contributes to a better education for all our students” said the Dean, highlighting the recent EFMD international accreditation awarded to FOI's graduate program in Business Economics.

During the program, participants exchanged insights on employer collaboration and shared best practices in accreditation processes. Ivana Marinković delivered a presentation on behalf of EFMD, and Vlatka Šunjak Kuljiš from the Agency for Science and Higher Education spoke on the importance of bridging academia with industry. Antonio Matković from the Institute for Labor Market Development introduced tools for monitoring market needs, underscoring the alignment of study programs with market demands.

The program was moderated by CPSRK Head Amalija Koren Cavaleiro and Assoc. Prof. Katarina Pažur Aničić, Ph.D., and provided an excellent opportunity for institutions to strengthen cooperation and enhance support for students in their professional development paths.
