The third session of the FOI Economic Council held

On Friday, December 13, the third session of the Economic Council of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics was held.

Goran Kanižaj, CEO of SICK Mobilisis and chairman of the Economic Council, Hajdi Ćenan, co-founder & CEO of airt and president of the CRO STARTUP association, Moreno Grgurić, executive director for Digital Platforms at IBM iX DACH & Croatia, Lidija Karaga, CEO of Solvership, Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, PhD, Dean of the University of Zagreb FOI, Prof. Zlatko Erjavec, PhD, Vice Dean for study programs at FOI, Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, PhD, Professor and Head of the Regional Center for Pre-Incubation in Smart Industry and Amalija Koren Cavaleiro, Head of the Student Support and Career Development Center at FOI participated.

Council members received updates on the progress of the Regional Center for Pre-Incubation in Smart Industry project. The project, with a total value of €6,234,500, has secured construction funding through the ITU mechanism in the amount of €5,299,325 and has obtained a building permit. A list of module topics for the program has been created, with key partners SICK Mobilisis and Emil Frey Digital contributing to the program. Digital materials will be developed for each educational topic. All members of the Economic Council were invited to actively participate in designing the program and contribute to the creation of the educational materials.

Pilot implementation of the program is scheduled for March 2025, with groups of up to 15 students from FOI participating.

The attending members also discussed the development of joint professional programs and explored ways to strengthen relationships with the Faculty’s alumni.
