Students shared their experiences from the first combined intensive BIP program

Faculty of Organization and Informatics was among the first faculties at the University of Zagreb, in the status of coordinator, that applied for and implemented the Erasmus+ blended intensive programme - BIP, called "Transform to sustain: Sustainable future enabled by digital transformation". In the video below,  first participating students shared their impressions.

The main goal was to familiarize the participants with creative methods and techniques for analyzing customer needs, and the focus was on developing innovative ideas to make business change digital through the use of selected modern digital technologies.

By connecting 4 modern concepts of business development (digital transformation, sustainable development, digital technologies and managing the organization and business processes to implement change) and using creative and modern methods of teaching and learning, the stated goal was achieved.

Groups of students were organized into international and multidisciplinary teams to work on various tasks, case analyses, and projects as a team. The onsite part of the intensive program was held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Split. This week, students continued to work in teams, with interactive workshops created by each partner institution to compliment online knowledge with creative live teamwork. As a result, students carried out "prototyping" of their solutions, learned how to give a "perfect pitch" for their idea, how to apply the solution to robots and how to make the solution "smart". Additionally, a field lesson was held on Korčula with the intention of finalizing, testing, and evaluating the solution developed on a real example.

In addition to FOI, ESIEA Paris Laval - Ecole d'ingénieurs du numérique, France, and Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Netherlands were also involved in the implementation, as well as the Faculty of Economics of the University of Split. Feedback from the participants was extremely positive, motivating the teachers to continue their collaboration and apply again next year. Thus, our students will once again be able to apply to participate in this program. Over time, additional details regarding the application and program will be released.

This short video shows the experience from the perspective of the participants.
