The award was accepted on behalf of the Faculty by Prof. Zlatko Erjavec, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Study Programs, who thanked all authors and collaborators for their dedicated work and emphasized the importance of continuous investment in publishing as a foundation for improving the teaching process.
University Book Day is held as part of the University of Zagreb Week (3–15 November 2025), a traditional event marking the beginning of the new academic year and promoting various aspects of university life. The program was opened by Rector Prof. Stjepan Lakušić, Ph.D., who highlighted the significance of publishing activities for preserving and disseminating knowledge and fostering academic excellence.
Today, FOI can proudly present a rich collection of its own publications, including 17 textbooks in the series Manualia Universitatis studiorum Zagrabiensis – Textbooks of the University of Zagreb. These textbooks cover the fields of computing, mathematics, economics, organization, management, and digital transformation. The publications reflect the Faculty’s strong commitment to the development of education and science and underline FOI’s important role in advancing the University’s publishing activities.
