FOI Dean participates in international panel on the future of higher education in Osijek

The Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, PhD, participated in a panel discussion at the 15th International Scientific Conference “Region, Entrepreneurship, Development”, held in Osijek on April 24, 2026.

The panel titled “Educating for Impact: Perspectives from Regional Faculty Leaders” brought together deans and vice-deans from higher education institutions across the region (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, North Macedonia, and Romania), who exchanged experiences and perspectives on managing higher education institutions in a dynamic environment, as well as on strengthening collaboration with industry and fostering socially responsible education.

Alongside other distinguished panelists, Dean Marina Klačmer Čalopa highlighted the important role of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in the development of the regional economy, particularly through connecting education, research, and practice. She also emphasized the importance of international accreditation of study programs as a key element for the strategic positioning of FOI at both regional and international levels, further confirming the quality of education and strengthening the institution’s competitiveness.

By participating in this panel, FOI once again reaffirmed its active role in shaping modern higher education and promoting sustainable regional development.
