Global Goals Jam returns to FOI

Created: 10.04.2025

The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics is once again hosting the Global Goals Jam in Varaždin this year, in collaboration with the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering in Varaždin. A total of 11 teams have registered for this year’s edition, and they have already started working on their projects. As part of the preparations, the teams visited the MakerSpace at the Tech Park Varaždin, where they will use available technologies and resources to develop prototypes of their solutions.

Global Goals Jam is designed as an intensive event during which creative and interdisciplinary teams work on local challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year’s edition is taking place in an extended format – throughout the entire semester – and involves undergraduate students from the Entrepreneurship Economics program at FOI and Environmental Management from the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.

The final two-day competition will be held on May 19th and 20th, 2025.

Given the complexity of the social challenges we face, it is clear that solutions cannot come from just one discipline, expertise, or perspective. For this reason, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of local ideas are crucial steps toward global impact.

Follow us for more information about the projects the teams are developing and the final presentations that await us in May!
