Student exchange opportunities at FOI
We welcome students from all over the world to join our community in Varaždin and to experience high-quality teaching, intercultural exchange and personal growth. Whether you come for a semester, a full year, or internship, FOI offers several pathways to make your international journey possible.
Students from FOI’s partner institutions (see the full list here) can study at FOI for one semester or a full academic year through the Erasmus+ programme. The process starts with a nomination from the home university, followed by an application through the University of Zagreb system. Detailed information on how to apply is available here.
Bilateral exchange
FOI also participates in bilateral agreements established between the University of Zagreb, FOI and international partner institutions. Detailed information on how to apply is available here.
Free movers
Students from universities without an exchange agreement are also welcome to apply as free movers. Applications are submitted first to the FOI International Relations Office via email, and then completed through the FOI application system. Learn more here.

Staff exchange opportunities at FOI
