It explains how organizations function as systems, how business processes, data, and decision-making are interconnected, and how business information systems have evolved over time. This section emphasizes the importance of understanding business processes before focusing on technological solutions.
Section 2: The ERP system throughout its life cycle
The second section guides readers through the entire ERP system life cycle. It explains how organizations assess their business needs, make decisions regarding ERP implementation, select appropriate solutions, implement them using suitable methodologies, and integrate them into their daily operations.
Section 3: Digital business and intelligent ERP systems
This section explores digital business transformation and related technologies from the perspective of ERP systems and cloud-based ERP solutions. It highlights the importance of interoperability and integration within ERP ecosystems and presents the new generation of ERP systems, demonstrating how their ecosystem is evolving through the adoption of low-code and no-code platforms.
Section 4: ERP systems in the croatian economy
The final section presents several insightful business case studies from the Croatian private sector, described from the perspectives of leading ERP implementation partners with extensive industry experience, as well as organizations that use ERP systems in practice. The objective is to provide readers with a deeper understanding of the key aspects, challenges, and risks associated with ERP implementation across different industries, building upon the theoretical foundations established in the preceding chapters.
