In February 2024, FOI officially joined the non-profit and non-governmental organization CRO STARTUP, established with the goal of supporting the interests of startup founders and employees in the country.
On Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, the election assembly of the Association of Graduates, Associates and Friends of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics AMAC-FOI was held. About 30 members of the Association participated in the assembly, and 20 members with the right to vote unanimously supported Associate Professor Katarina Tomičić-Pupek, Ph.D. for the new President of the Association, Dejan Drabić for Vice President and Romina Kelemen for Secretary.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics, through its longstanding membership in the Highered network, has provided its students with free access to the mentioned platform. On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. in Hall 2 (FOI 2), an invited lecture by Ivana Marinković, EFMD Global Network, Director for Central and Eastern Europe, will be held. The aim of the lecture is to familiarize the participants with the importance and advantages of the EFMD Global network and EFMD accreditations. The lecture will be held in English.
During the 61st anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics at the University of Zagreb, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Peter Márton, Ph.D., was honored with the prestigious "Friend of FOI" Charter by the Faculty Council. This annual award recognizes international associates for their exceptional contributions and efforts in fostering strong ties with our institution.
In December 2023, a team of researchers from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (UNIZG FOI), led by the Faculty Dean, Full Prof. Marina Klačmer Čalopa, Ph.D. started the implementation of the research project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation - " Digitalization in entrepreneurship in the context of response to an exogenous shock: Drivers, barriers and impact on firm resilience".

The topic of the lecture is SPONA - COOPERATION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND SOCIAL INCLUSION. The lecturer is Martina Horvat, prof. of social pedagogy from the Ambidekster Club in Zagreb.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, marked the Faculty Day on Friday, December 15, 2023, at a ceremony held at the Varaždin National Theatre. The event, attended by a large number of students, faculty, staff, business representatives, and partner institutions, as well as distinguished guests, commemorated the rich history of the Faculty. With one of the longest-standing traditions in educating IT professionals in Croatia, the Faculty was founded 61 years ago as the Higher School of Economics and established as a faculty 49 years ago. The grand ceremony included the presentation of awards, recognitions, and expressions of gratitude to students, faculty, and staff who have enriched FOI and the broader academic community through their excellence and contributions.
The second part of workshop Ishodi učenja kolegija i konstruktivno poravnanje: unapređenje diplomskog studija Ekonomika poduzetništva u kontekstu EFMD akreditacije (Intended Learning Outcomes and constructive alignment: improvement of graduate study Economics of Entrepreneurship in the EFMD context) was held for the teachers as a part of the preparation for the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) accreditation of the graduate study programme Economics of Entrepreneurship on December 8, 2023 at FOI.
