FOI has joined the UN Global Compact initiative
In June 2022, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics joined UN Global COMPACT - the largest and most important global initiative for sustainable development and corporate and institutional sustainability. The Global Compact initiative was launched in 2000 with the aim of introducing socially responsible business and today it is the largest such initiative that gathers more than 14,000 corporate stakeholders and more than 4,000 stakeholders of civil and non-governmental organizations from more than 140 countries around the world.

EDEN Research Workshop in Dubrovnik this September
EDEN’s 2022 Research Workshop entitled “Towards smart and inclusive learning ecosystem” focuses on improved learning environments that drive the digital transformation of educational institutions. The workshop will be held within CECIIS 2022 conference in Dubrovnik from 19th to 20th of September.

eDESK project meeting to be held at FOI in Varaždin
Since March 2021 FOI has been working with partners from Finland, Spain and Portugal on the design and development of an innovative hybrid teaching methodology in HEIs to improve the skills of higher education teachers and to offer them resources and tools for further teaching.

A week of development of teacher competencies was held at FOI
From 7 to 11 February 2022, a week of development of teacher competencies was held at the FOI, during which seven workshops were held. The workshops covered topics of innovative learning and teaching strategies that each teacher can apply to improve teaching in their subjects. The interest of the participants was extremely high, and the workshops were held in contact at the FOI and through the virtual room.

Kickoff meeting held for Erasmus+ project DEMO
On 9th February 2022 a kickoff meeting was held for Erasmus+ funded project Digital Platform Enterprise, acronym DEMO. The meeting was held online in the organization of lead partner Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti from Romania.

In the week from February 7 to 11, 2022, a week of teacher competence development was held at FOI, during which seven workshops were held. The workshops covered the topics of innovative learning and teaching strategies that every teacher can apply to improve teaching in their subjects. The interest of the participants was extremely high, and the workshops were held face-to-face at the FOI and through a virtual room. The workshops were organized as part of three projects supported by FOI: DIP2Future, Rapide and Study4Career.

CECIIS 2021 confirmed the international significance of the FOI conference
Organized by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) and the European Network EDEN, the 32nd International Conference "Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems" - CECIIS 2021 was successfully held from Wednesday, the 13th of October to Friday, the 15th of October, 2021. Dedicated to the topic of the Networked Society, this year's edition of the conference was held in a virtual edition. The CECIIS Program Committee awarded the authors of this year's best paper and announced CECIIS 2022 topic and date. Read more below.
