e-Schools Project (e-Škole) - one of the top 12 educational project in the world

Created: 19.07.2018

On March 7th, 2018, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) awarded and recognized the pilot project "e-Schools (e-Škole): Establishment of a Development System for digitally mature Schools" as one of the 12 best projects in the world in the field of ICT application in education, for 2017.

The international jury had to decide between 143 applied projects from 79 countries worldwide. The topic of the competition was the usage of the ICT for the purpose of a more comprehensive approach to quality education. Projects which could enable high-quality education to socioeconomic groups in disadvantaged position were evaluated separately.

Faculty of Organization and Informatics is the only higher education institution participating in the project. The project encompasses two key areas: computerization of business and teaching processes and the use of ICT in education. The implementation of the project itself is divided into two strategic projects (Project A and Project B), which are funded and implemented through two different operational programs.

The project coordinator is the Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNET.
