For the second year in a row FOI joins international action 'Zelena ReGeneracija' for the preservation of the planet Earth

The regional tree planting action called "Zelena ReGeneracija" was held for the second year in a row from March 18 to 22 and brings together young people, colleges and companies from the entire region, with the aim of working together to preserve our planet Earth and create a cleaner future. By planting a tree in the yard in front of the FOI 2 building in Varaždin, FOI students from the Student Union joined in the action again this year, showing care for the environment and awareness of the importance of promoting it.

UNIZG FOI students achieved first place in the „Accounting Battle“ competition

On March 15, 2024, the final stage of the Accounting Battle, the largest student competition in the field of accounting in the Republic of Croatia, took place. Representing our faculty with pride were four students: Vanesa Gudić, Nikolina Tumpak, Patrik Šantek, and Luka Mikulić.

World and European Money Week: lectures on money management, fintech and cryptocurrencies an at FOI

The program took place in the period from March 19 to 21, 2024, and includes a number of different activities on current topics in the field of economics and finance. It was intended for FOI students of all study programs and years of study. Lecture topics covered a wide range of financial aspects, ranging from cryptocurrencies, fintech to modern money management strategies, providing participants with a comprehensive insight into the dynamic world of finance and the financial market. Lectures at FOI were held by a number of prominent FOI alumni students, as well as other successful individuals and prominent professionals engaged in a range of entrepreneurial activities in the financial sector.

Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University is a guest lecturer at FOI

It is our great pleasure and honored to invite you to the lecture "Developing an entrepreneurial Mindset" by Prof. Aruna Chandra, Ph.D. from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business, IN, USA.  The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in lecture room 10, FOI 1 in Varaždin.

 

New in FOI publication: Entrepreneurial society in a European context

The electronic publication Entrepreneurial Society in the European Context was published by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The authors of the publication are prof. Ksenija Vuković, Ph.D., assistant professor Dina Korent, Ph.D. and Tamara Šmaguc, Ph.D. The reviewers of the publication are associate professor Kristina Detelj, Ph.D., associate professor Vladimir Kovšca, Ph.D. and Assoc. Young Turk, Ph.D.

Penn State University students and teachers visited FOI

The study visit with Penn State University is based on virtual collaboration within the Entrepreneurial Venture course. Assoc. Prof. Kristina Detelj, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Irena Konecki, Ph.D. along with students from the Economics of Entrepreneurship program, collaborate with professors Anne Hoag and Jeanette Miller and their students from Penn State.
